CPR - Car Planet Racing is the Motorsport Division of Car Planet LTD, a prominent, long-standing and succesfull Sports and Prestige Car Importer and Sales Premises in Warrington, Cheshire.

Car Planet Racing was formed in 2007, where the increased requirements for high quality Motorsport/Track Day Preparation and Performance Tuning services from Car Planet LTD's customer base, were met by the expansion and development of a Motorsport and Peformance Tuning Division of the company. Customers who had purchased Mitsubishi Evo's, Impreza's and GTR's were becoming more interested in putting their cars on the track in Public Track Days and Entry Level Competition. Car Planet employed a group of highly talented Engineers and Designers from a local Motorsport and Performance Tuning Specialist; RC Developments, that had recently closed it's doors through management problems. The teams' technical understanding, workmanship and experience with Japanese Performance Car Preparation for Motorsport and Performance Road would go onto to work in harmony with Car Planet's knowledgeable and skilled Management and Accounts Team, forming a solid relationship with exceptional results produced.

Car Planet Racing initially specialised in Japanese-only Performance Tuning and Motorsport Preparation, most noted for it's services for Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution and Nissan GT-R. Car Planet Racing possess a vast amount of experience working with Mitsubishi Evo's, ever since Car Planet imported one of the first Mitsubishi Evo 4's into the country in early 1996. The experience gained through 15 years+ working with Evo's offers CPR's customers the highest level of understanding of the car, and the best quality of workmanship. Our technicians have such a thorough understanding of the vehicle, that there is no task that they are not able to accomplish. Offering the UK's highest level of quality Mitsubishi Evo Motorsport and Performance Tuning Services, CPR also specialise in Performance Tuning of Nissan GT-R (most specifically R35), after Car Planet became one of the first importers in the U.K, to bring the Nissan GT-R into the country, back in late 2007, through grey import. CPR's GT-R Research and Development Program was carried out on their 2007 JDM Nissan GT-R, where the car was assessed in both road and race track environment, and the understanding the car through testing allowed CPR an advantage over even Nissan UK, who would not see their first GT-R into the U.K until late 2008. This head-start gave CPR the edge over many UK Dealers and Tuners.

Car Planet Racing are now the UK's most succesful Performance Tuner of the Nissan GT-R, offering in-house Servicing, Transmission Upgrades and Support, a wide range of CPR designed and manufactured Performance Parts, and Power Packages taking the car up to over 750HP+

In 2009, Car Planet Racing expanded into European Sports and Prestige Performance Tuning, and became the official North U.K. Technical Outlet for KLEEMANN A/S, a leading Mercedes AMG Performance Parts Manufacturer, where we began our research and development of the Mercedes AMG Range with our demonstration CLS-55 AMG. With a combination of Kleemann off-the-shelf components, and some bespoke CPR Products, we developed the road car to an astonishing 650hp/670lbft 195mph weapon. Since then we have gone onto tune and equip some of the UK's quickest Mercedes AMG Vehicles such as 650hp CLK DTM, 740HP McLaren SLR, 540hp SL63 AMG, numerous 620hp SL55/E55K's, and Supercharger Conversions on CLK-500's. We offer the highest quality components from Kleemann, Custom ECU Re-Mapping Services, and a wide range of extremely high quality Chassis, Suspension and Brake Upgrade Parts from our product supplier network.

2010 saw further expansion from CPR, where we begun our enterprise into BMW Performance Tuning, where we began working with Sal and Imran from EVOLVE. We became a Northern Technical Branch for the BMW Performance Tuning Specialist, who are highly regarded worldwide, for their extremely high quality ECU Re-Maps for M Series and Diesel BMW's. Our relationship was simple, we used Evolve's ECU Files, and we offered Evolve the HQ for Research, Development and Production for Exhaust, Headers and Intake Components for BMW M3 E92, BMW M5 and BMW M6.

CPR will continue to grow with its skills and performance services, we will continue to push the boundaries in performance tuning, and reach further success at the track in various motorsport disciplines.
